On 21 March a group of Muslims were harassing Christian women entering a church in Hyderbad. Four Christian men came out of the church and confronted them. The Muslims left and then returned with guns and shot the four men. Younis Masih (47 and a father of four) and Jameel Masih (22, married a month ago) died at the scene.Christians were then forced to protest for hours, blocking the main road with the two dead bodies, just to force the police to file a report of the shooting.

Death threats have been made against Joseph Francis, the director of the Centre for Legal Aid, Assistance and Settlement (CLAAS) in Pakistan after he spoke out against the misuse of the blasphemy law. In late March there was an attempt to kidnap the son of Fauzia Wahab, a member of Parliament who opposes the blasphemy law.
