I have just read through this week's update from the JIM Unit of the VicTas Synod of UCA and the series of reports about persecution of Christians in India - especially Christian Dalits - are disturbing to say the very least!
I wonder if the address of the Indian Ambassodor/High Commissioner to Australia could be given next week so that readers could send off individual letters of concern to him (or her - I think I recall the position was held by a lady earlier this year.)
Because there was a "What You Can Do" paragraph in another section relating to Eritrea, I have drafted my own email letter as suggested to the Ambassador of Eritrea in Canberra concerning the reported imprisonment, torture and death of Yemane Khasay Andom. Maybe the details of address, name, salutation etc for the Indian Ambassadior have been given previously. Anyway I'm about to send my email to the Eritrean ambassador right away after this comment. I'd like to send an appropriate letter to the Indian ambassador too - but it will have to wait until I can get the name and address.

Thank you.
